Done binge-watching Tobaku Mokushiroku Kaiji (Kaiji Ultimate Survivor) Season 1.
The psychological battle of the games they have played is intensified by the gambling concept. Which made the story tense zawa… zawa… zawa… Games like:
-Restricted Rock, Paper, Scissors
-Steel Frame Crossing
-E-Card
-Tissue Box Raffle
It kept me guessing what kind of strategies they would employ to cheat their way to exploit the rules set per game while at the same time making me create my strategy to locate the loophole in each game before the arc concludes. I loved the final struggle of Kaiji for each game he participated in. Usually, that would be the last 3-5 minutes of the last scene. Although the build-up may be slow at times, it only immerses you in the story building to the climax of the story.
There’s a season 2 of this anime and I’m looking forward to binge-watch it as well in the future.
I would give Tobaku Mokushiroku Kaiji 8/10 for the smart writing of basic concepts and the presentation of the art and characters.
